The program of study in c
ivil engineering provides undergraduate educational and research opportunities in five disciplines of civil engineering, including structural engineering, mechanics and materials; geosystems engineering; transportation systems engineering; environmental fluid mechanics and water resources; and environmental engineering.

The Program offers a wide range of electives to meet the interests of the student and the diverse needs of the profession. Civil engineers must not only be technically proficient, but also effective in working with people and with professionals in other disciplines.
