Dr. Ben Klein and Dr. Doug Yoder of the Computational Electronics Group at the Georgia Institute of Technology are seeking a well-qualified person holding a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Physics for a postdoctoral position. The successful candidate will have a strong background in scientific numerical simulation programming and semiconductor physics. The position will involve planning, coding, testing, and documenting a one-dimensional simulation of the active region of an InGaN-based quantum well laser diode. It is anticipated that this code will include drift-diffusion and thermionic emission carrier transport models, as well as carrier-carrier and carrier-phonon capture models for the quantum well.
