Part II: Natural Disasters

The Savannah area is perfect for your natural disaster needs.  Hurricanes, tornadoes, alligator attacks, and flooding are all common occurrences around town.  Georgia Tech Savannah has a very good disaster plan.  Check with Jill Parks if you'd like to live through the next disaster.  But if you just want a quick and easy solution (and who doesn't?), try these tips for your next hurricane:

-In the event of a hurricane, lie down in a ditch.  If you are already lying in a ditch, do not attempt to sit up.

-The most important thing is to stay calm.  This will be difficult, since you are almost certainly going to die.

-Hurricanes spook easily.  Firing a few warning shots into the air is usually enough to scare them off.

-Live a little, for once: strap yourself to the roof of your house and rage at the heavens.

-Prevent hurricanes before they happen: make sure that warm, moist air fronts do not converge with cool, dry ones.

-Hurricanes approach land looking for food, so be sure to suspend your Ramen noodles from a tree limb at least 10 feet off the ground.

-If a hurricane strikes your home, even your basement could be dangerous, so construct a basement for your basement.

-If you spot a hurricane, always remember to point at it, yell "hurricane!," and run like hell.
